Marco Verkooijen is a lecturer-researcher at the Impactful Value Chains Professorship.

Expertise

Marco holds a Master of Information Management from TIAS Business School. There he researched the integration of ICT in Supply Chains. In addition, he did the course Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy at MIT Boston. Marco is also a certified Lean Black Belt. He specializes in ICT & Supply Chain Management, Business Process Management and Digital Transformation.

 

Career

Marco has over 20 years of experience working as a consultant, project manager and coach on complex business issues in the above mentioned areas of specialization.

He has also been working for about 10 years as a lecturer at various colleges in the Netherlands. At Avans, he teaches courses in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Supply Chain Management, Business Process Modelling, Lean Management, ERP, Innovation & Transformation and Information Systems.

 

Research

Marco’s ambition is to develop organizations, business processes and people in order to achieve their goals. Within the Knowledge Circle, he carries out applied research projects in his areas of specialization. He does this in co-creation with international companies.
