On March 12, the short film STRAF (Punished) will be shown at the Breda theater: an inspiring evening with the film STRAF, panel discussion, cabaret, spoken word and installation art about sustainable action.

On Thursday, March 28, 2024, the SUSTAIN research will be concluded with a public closing symposium. A varied program will look back on the research, discuss key insights and look ahead: how do we make lasting space for the arts and who has what role to play in it?

As part of the Week of the Circular Economy, the CoE BWNO | Avans Hogeschool and the Municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch, organize on March 13 the event Circular Building = Building Together.

The date is set: the first CoE BWNO event will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2024. The theme is "doing business together with impact.

On January 25, 2024, the Continuous Improvement Symposium took place at Onderwijsbouleverard in Den Bosch. An inspiring afternoon filled with a Keynote by Arno Koch, graduation projects presented by students of the Continuous Improvement Minor, a lego serious gaming and the presentation of the Lean Green Belts.

An equally beautiful and spirited challenge that demands much from our colleagues. That is the Ambition 2025. In the series Dare to Avans, Avans gives a stage to employees who realize the ambition of the university in their own unique way. Passionate professionals who combine ambition with personal attention and agility. Who have guts, seize opportunities and experiment. Who are they? What drives them? During SIA's annual conference, the Circular Cotton Cascade project led by assocciate lecturer Karen Janssen won the audience award of the RAAK award. Of the six projects nominated by the jury, 'CCC' received the most (online) votes from the public.

This year, our Center of Expertise hosted the annual European Lean Educators Conference (ELEC) on behalf of BWNO. We look back on three inspiring and valuable days!

Great news! Our Sustainable Finance and Accounting Professor Marleen Janssen Groesbeek has been included in the Top 50 Women in Sustainable Finance 2023.

Thanks to funding from SIA, the lecturer platform Circular Economy 3.0 will be able to continue working on a more sustainable and circular society over the next 3 years
