This is how we contribute

The Last Cup

At the end of events, a "last cup" is often left behind — visitors lack an incentive to return it, and the current collection systems don't always align with real-world behavior. Statieheld develops compact, scalable return solutions for cans and bottles, offering immediate rewards via platforms such as Tikkie or recycle coins. The company now aims to test how this concept works for festival cups in a real event setting. Together with SME partner Statieheld, Avans University is conducting a living lab field test, focused on both visitor behavior and the functionality of the return machine during high-traffic moments at events.

Ambitions: Accelerating transitions in the built environment by aligning values

AMBITIONS explores how public and private values can be better aligned to accelerate transitions in the built environment. The project delivers strategies, tools, and networks for a future-proof living environment.

Nature Onboarding Humans

Nature Onboarding Humans explores how entrepreneurs can shift to an ecocentric perspective and actively contribute to ecosystem restoration. Together with partners and local entrepreneurs on Texel, the project is developing a workbook filled with tools for nature-inclusive entrepreneurship. Nature is recognized as a full-fledged stakeholder in this regenerative movement.

Van Gogh Homeland

Van Gogh Homeland is a multidisciplinary, long-term program that draws on Vincent van Gogh’s unique perspective on Brabant and the imaginative power of the hospitality domain. Its goal is to engage a broad audience in today’s major sustainability challenges in an appealing and accessible way.

A sustainable future for everyone

We conduct research into a more socially and ecologically just economy and the role of entrepreneurship within it.
