The New Entrepreneurship research group conducts practice-oriented research in co-creation with companies, governments, and social organizations to support businesses in future-proof and meaningful entrepreneurship. The focus is on the development of regenerative leadership, collective capacity for action, and sustainable innovation. By strengthening these capacities, we help SMEs in particular to actively contribute to an economy in which ecological limits and social well-being are in balance. Our researchers connect domain knowledge with education, so that students are trained to become change agents who make value-driven choices.
Research group objective
The research group believes that sustainable growth within planetary boundaries is possible, provided that companies act with an awareness of their social role and values. We support them in this transition through practical research on three core themes: circular economy, renewable energy, and digital transformation. Circularity and renewable energy contribute to regeneration and reduction of resource use, while digital technology is used to strengthen resilience and efficiency. In this way, we are building a welfare economy in which entrepreneurship contributes to social and ecological value creation.
